I've purchased a used Ford Mondeo and the AM/FM button does not work, the radio does as it was on when I got it, but after I pressed the other buttons aux and CD I can not get the radio back on. I removed the button and the soft rubber bits when pressed, do not have an effect. (they do on the other buttons). Hi, my radio doesnt seem to be able to pick up any stations. the radio display is perfect and you can search etc for stations but nothing is ever found. the cd player works fine with no faults. any ideals chums? ps. have checked all fittings, plugs, fuses and leads to the radio and all are fine. FM radio reception is fine when the heated rear window is turned off. Turn it on and the signal nearly disappears, but only on some stations. It sounds like the aerial has been removed or or the aerial plug is not connected properly . The heated front screen has no affect at all, only the rear. I would suspect a loose or damaged wire, with it working fine for a while once you plugged it back in. I would suggest taking the radio out, because as you said when the radio is off, there isn't a problem and see what functions you have and whether it plays up again.
